sorry I have been missing

I'm sorry I haven't been on much. I hope everyone has been doing well and your fish are doing great. I have been working 7/12's doing oil spill containment from the MS/LA border over to Waveland, MS. Hopefully what we are doing will keep our beaches and marshes from ending up full of oil. Anyway I hope everyone is having a good summer and I will try to make some post whenever we get a day off.

Good here from you again and I'm glad to hear somethings being done. What methods are you using to deal with the oil?

Norm so far we haven't had any oil in my area yet thankfully. We are laying containment boom to catch as much oil as possible before it hits any land. So far this section has around 70 miles of boom laid out.

as usual our govt. wants a few people as poss to know the truth about anything,and yes thank you Micheal, are they tryin the straw hay to help absorb oil smeg gettin close to shores???

They just changed their policy to we can talk to the media but as long as we make sure to mention its our opinion and not BP or the USCG stance.

We haven't seen any oil yet here but we have containers full of white absorbent boom for when it does.

I hope you don't see any..

Sorry guys I've been away a bit too
Just started a new job up the road from the wife
Instead of going home I'm waiting on her to get off work... For 5 hours!!! Cheaper than driving home and back. Someone stole our card number and that locked our account, it's been one major headache having to pawn and borrow just to get by till they straiten it out.

On her off days I've been busy doing crap for my sick mom, and fixing a little dinner before bed.

Been spending some time after work catching up on scenic drives and hopefully a little fishing in the next couple of days.

I wondered where you had gotten off to. It's been lonely around here. Congrats on the new job. Hope they get that card stuff fixed up soon. Someone stole our number last year and charged a bunch of stuff in another state. It was a real pain!

Just thought I would post you guys/ladies an update. I'm am currently working in Venice, LA still doing the clean up. Most of the 250 or so of shoreline here is clear but we still have areas that could take years to restore. Mostly we have tar like balls that wash up on the beach. Amazingly to me the amount of marsh that is covered in oil is pretty small in comparison to how bad it.could have been. I just bought a new HTC Desire so hopefully you will see me posting more.
