My male Astatotilapia latifasciata

Here's the guy with so many offspring, I have them growing out in my 33 long, my 90, a 55, not to mention the ones that went to the fish auction, and to the lfs...... lol

Great looking cichlid! Very Happy Love the black stripe that goes through the eye.

Great looking fish J. I can't wait for mine to grow into that. Of course they look pretty cool to me already they stand out in the fry tank. Did you realize these fish were on the CARES list as critically endangered?

I had read somewhere that they might actually be extinct in some areas where they originated. They usually are listed as a Victorian, but I think they are actually from Lake Kyoga. At least this group that came from Dave's Rare Fish were labeled as Lake Kyoga. I have seen some pictures of them where they seem to be more silver and black, instead of yellow and black, but these guys are very yellow, which is nice, because even the females are colored.
(I know what you mean, I seem to gravitate toward blue-barred fish myself, so I really like the yellow sauslosi. They are a different shade than the labs, I really like them.
