Lights?

Hey all,

i bought a standard 48" single light hood for my aquarium, with a sun glo light. Its basically just a "real" light, light bulb. I want to change over to some sort of color max type bulb to bring out the colors of my cichlids. What do you use? and what should i do? i bought a new bulb from petsmart, and it has the color i want, but its so dull.

What do you own? How do you like it?

you might try a coral life 50/50 with just a single bulb, i use 6500k and 12000k lights on my big tanks because i like the way the fish look and im also trying to grow plants.

i use a 50/50 12000k also in all of my tanks. the blue tint brings out the colors in the fish

ok, i will try a mix of white and the blue.
