Mystery fry

Post by football mom on Sat Feb 26, 2011 8:50 am

Earlier in the week, I was doing some tank maintenence and moving things around, and I picked up a flat rock out of my shellie/rock-dweller tank, and
found a cluster of tiny dark egg sacs with tails. I put them in a plastic tote with an air stone, and did some partial water changes througout the week, and today the egg sacs are gone, and they look like tiny, long skinny fry, very dark colored.
There are in that tank (besides the multies) 2 J. dickfeldi, 2 hequi, and 3 callipterus. Since I have never had spawns from any of those before, I have no idea which they are, but right now, I'm guessing Julis. Anybody else think differently? I hope I can keep them alive so I can tell what they are one day!

Julies sound like a good guess to me. Smile Good luck with them!

Did you ever determine what your fry were? Just curious. Question

They didn't survive long enough for me to determine what they were.... Sad
