Planning a new tank -- nice!
I can't help with stocking suggestions, but I can recommend a tan colored pool filter sand as a substrate. I have it in all but one tank. It looks natural and the fish seem to enjoy digging and sifting through it.

Comps and calvus make good tankmates for Fronts. Small, fast, fin nipping fish should be avoided
Good luck with the new tank, can't wait to see it

just picked up the new.... slightly used 125g for 300 off craiglist, came with a a big hob marineland (dont know what model) but rated for 90 gallons, 2 powerheads, water pump that pushes 700 g per hour, and an extra 30 g that he didnt want anymore! oh and a big box of bio balls.... not too shabby in my book!
