My old albino greshakei picture
I wish I had a dollar for every time I've come across the picture that I took a few years ago of my albino M. greshakei!
I know I've posted about this before, but it always takes me by surprise when I see it. He died a while back, but he'd be happy to know that his image is all over the web. I've found him in several for sale ads, on various forums in foreign languages, etc.
I was checking out a sponsor that I hadn't noticed before on C-F and there's my boy! http://www.cichlidstore.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=34_27&products_id=129 I should have put my name on it.

I've seen a couple of Klaus's pictures on for sale ads on my local Craigslist in the past!
I guess when someone needs a picture and doesn't have their own, they must do a Google image search and use the first thing that pops up.

Bugs me that nobody asked permission to use your picture. Great looking fish though. Too bad he died.

Yeah, this picture is over 3 years old and he was already "mature" at that time. This is the only picture of mine that I run into repeatedly.
It seems wrong to use other people's pictures when you are representing something that you have for sale.

Another sponsor on C-F.
That fish pictured representing their "gorgeous strain ..." actually came from Petsmart. They edited the background out, but I'd know that face anywhere.
